I think it's safe to say you're pursuing the right career path. I love the duck sketch.

The duck was actually an assignment for switching texture on an object to something inorganic. I chose driftwood and a pinecone since at the time I was in a woody part of Florida and couldn't get the idea out of my head. Thank you very much :)

I like the stuff, but I'm going to be honest - that 3D rendering of a human looks like a deformed Korean.

You might want to broaden the vertical arc of the back of the skull and push in the area around the eyes deeper.

That was pre completion. Here's the mid-point with blendshape expression.

I agree, I want to take out the rocks I used as placeholder and actually model a cliffside but truth be told I have no idea where to start, so It's going slow.

from what i've gathered you can merge a bunch of flat-ish, large rock models into a single rock face and with proper texturing it will be pretty cliff looking. but im also rubbish at modeling so what do i know.

I'll give that a shot. What I'm thinking about is making a large cube and taking it into zbrush, beating it up to the point it's almost not recognizable, and then deformation mastering it, then bringing it back into maya. I can then cut the back faces and edgeloops to save some space
